Step 1: Connect your two computers with a HDMI cable. Connect the HDMI cable from one device to the monitor port on another device. It is recommended that you use a 50' HDMI cable.

This will allow you to mount your monitor in different areas without having to extend the cables running across your room or desk openings. However, you can also use a shorter length of cable depending on where your monitor is mounted.

Step 2: Connect the other end of your HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your TV set or projector. This could be any HDMI port but it is recommended that you connect it to the ARC or Video In port of your set. This will allow you to screen mirror your PC screen from any app or from a website running in the background.

Step 3: If you are connecting two computers with one HDMI port each, you will want to connect them with a USB-C adapter for HDMI. Again this is a case where you want to check the specs of the HDMI cable used. Be sure it is rated for your resolution and refresh rate.

Step 4: To connect two laptops with HDMI, you will need to use an HDMI-DVI adapter (the DVI port doesn't carry video). For some reason, Apple's adapters do not work with most older monitors or projectors. This can be solved by using an Apple Digital AV Adapter instead. Step 5: Recline your laptop to allow easier viewing of the screen. You will also want to set the laptop on a soft surface, such as a pillow, to prevent it from rolling around.
